I had a blog post all planned about what I plan to read this summer, but then I went and had dinner with many of the booksellers in the Northern California Chapter of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America (ABAA). My mentor, Mr. Z., took Thoughtful Husband and me and our mutual friend Jeanne to the group’s quarterly dinner-meeting as his guests. It was lots of fun, it was book-related, and it was nice to be invited. It’s rather late now (11:40 pm.), so tomorrow I’ll post the books I hope to read this summer. Promise!
Chapter 562 A Bunch of Booksellers Walk into a Bar . . .
Filed under A Bookseller's Education, Book Finds
If I had a pound for every book I hope to read this summer I’d be a rich man. But staring me in the face are Wolf Hall, The Kindly Ones, The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana.
P.S. Didn’t get the scholarship but thank you for your help. I am going to make a concerted effort to go next year, one way or another.
Toodle Pip.

I want to read Wolf Hall, too. Sorry about the scholarship. Don’t give up! As with all things related to antiquarian books, patience and fortitude are job requirements.
