I don’t usually repost what I read at other book blogs, because I figure you already reading those blogs as well. However, today I read a post about a booksellers and stolen property that I think is instructive to those of us who are new in the trade. It’s a good reminder of how important it is to communicate and have relationships with other booksellers.
Via Philobiblos, an article by George Ritzlin, the owner of Antique Maps and Prints in Evanston, IL, on how he dealt with something every bookseller hopes he never has to encounter (but, if in business long enough, probably will).
