Chapter 222 Old Faithful

Still getting caught up. In the meantime . . .

Here are a few of my favorite photos from Yellowstone National Park, a place with bubbling mud, steam rising from the ground, and geysers. It felt positively prehistoric to see it. I half expected dinosaurs to appear from behind the clouds of steam. (Instead, buffalo emerged.)

We arrived right after the famous Old Faithful Geyser went off, and had to sit and wait 90 minutes to see it happen again.

Watching . . .

Waiting . . .

There it goes!

More tomorrow!

YUCK – 90 minutes in the hot sun with no shade and no books? I would have gone absolutely crazy. No I would have walked off and said that we will come back in 80 minutes. That is what I would have done.

  2. Yeah, 90 minutes is a long time, but it wasn’t that bad. We watched some antelope and buffalo in the fields nearby and walked around the nearby Yellowstone Inn. I (of course) had a book to read stashed in my purse. We could have left, but the crowds were so great around us (seriously) that we would not have had a front row seat if we had.
